FormWords is provided by its operators as a free public utility. Using the website, including the word unscrambler, means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. What FormWords does

FormWords helps you form valid English words from mixed letters. It supports blank tiles (? and *) and common filters. Results are generated in your browser against a dictionary word list and are intended for assistance, learning, and entertainment.

3. Permitted use

• Use the tool for personal, educational, and recreational purposes.
• Do not attempt to scrape the site at scale, bypass rate limits, or overload servers.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer or redistribute the word list as a standalone product.
• Do not use FormWords to generate spam, abuse, or content that violates law.

4. Game trademarks disclaimer

SCRABBLE® is a trademark of Hasbro, Inc. in the US and Canada and of Mattel, Inc. elsewhere. Words With Friends is a trademark of Zynga Inc. Wordle is a trademark of The New York Times Company. All other trademarks referenced are property of their owners. FormWords is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these owners. Dictionary inclusion does not guarantee that a play is allowed in official tournament or casual house rules. Always check your game’s official word list.

5. No cheating advice, just assistance

FormWords is a word-finding assistant. How you use it in casual games, classrooms, or puzzles is up to you and your group. We encourage fair play and learning. Follow the rules of the game or competition you are participating in.

6. Intellectual property

The site design, copy, layout, and original code are owned by FormWords. The underlying English word list sources are from public or licensed dictionaries. You may link to FormWords freely. You may not copy substantial portions of the site, mirror it, or use automated tools to reproduce the service without permission.

7. No warranties

FormWords is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Word lists and scoring may change over time and may not match any single official dictionary at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FormWords and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero for this free service.

9. Third-party links and ads

FormWords displays advertisements and may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third parties. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

10. Changes to service and terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of FormWords at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top when we make changes.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
